David is an actor and director based in Macclesfield, UK and has a close relationship with Congleton Players (who celebrate their 80th anniversary in 2016) and their home at the 300 seat Daneside Theatre in Congleton, Cheshire. This is where he has acted in plays as diverse as Comfort & Joy by Mike Harding, When we are Married by J.B. Priestly, Broken Glass by Arthur Miller, 'Allo 'Allo by David Croft & Jeremy Lloyd, as well as Witness for The Prosecution & And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Not being a natural singer, David's only foray into musicals was also at Daneside Theatre playing the part of Steve Baker (the husband of Julie La Verne) in Show Boat by Jermome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein II ..... the only non-singing part in the production!
The very historic and attactive Gawsorth Hall Open Air Theatre in Cheshire with it's 1000 seat capacity has also been home to David's performances in plays including Lady Winderemere's Fan by Oscar Wilde, Dracula by Bram Stoker (adapted by Alan Clements), And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie and two plays by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - Sherlock's Last Case andThe Hound of The Baskervilles.
